What brought you to Fanshawe?

I decided to attend the Robotics and Process Control course after it was recommended to me by members of a company that I had a High School co-op position at (ECM Controls out of St Thomas).
It was also close to home and allowed me to continue playing local sports.

Tell us about your favourite Fanshawe experience.

While attending the Robotics program I learned about the Biomedical Electronics Certificate course, which I registered for. Part of the program was to shadow Biomedical Technologists at Healthcare facilities and to learn how they are able to help clinicians and patients. These visits proved to me that I was capable of repairing and maintaining complex lifesaving medical equipment.

What impact has Fanshawe had on your life?

Fanshawe College provided me with a first class education. The teachers were knowledgeable and encouraging. Without their dedication I'm not sure what I would be doing now?

What are you up to now?

I have worked as a Biomedical Technologist since graduation. Over the last 15 years I have had the privilege of working in various Hospital settings, including work in General Medicine Floors, Critical Care Area's , and Operating Rooms. The job has been challenging, rewarding, and continues to give me opportunities to grow as a Technologist.
