What brought you to Fanshawe?

I had found fulfillment and purpose in my career but still wasn't happy. I was suffering from burnout on a frequent basis and had come to the revelation that "Fulfillment" and "Purpose" are very important elements to living a meaningful life but I was missing something.

What makes me happy?

I was living a life of service unto others (which is great and I honestly love it!) but I had forgotten to also live life for me and to also do things that make me happy! So I went back to school and to Fanshawe College in pursuit of my happiness.

Tell us about your favourite Fanshawe experience.

The field work - leaving the class room and getting my hands dirty in pure adventure. I had never experienced a teaching method like it. So refreshing and enthralling, going to class to see my peers and profs in learning through real world application - it left no question as to "why are we learning this?" but turned it into "Let's do this!"

What impact has Fanshawe had on your life?

It's opened the world back up to me, to all the new career options where I can combine my previous skill sets in being of service to others - but to do so through channels of what makes me happy. Where I can have a career of purpose and fulfillment in combination with what truly makes me happy!

What are you up to now?

I'm currently starting my second company called "HappyMail" operating on the premise of Preventative-Mental-Health. We're dedicated to helping young adults develop healthy and holistic habits to better manage their experiences of depression and anxiety in order to improve their quality of life during covid-19 and beyond!

I've also just recently been accepted to the University Of British Columbia. Where I aim to pursue my passion in holistic wellness through psychology and quantum physics.
